An opportunity is available for an dedicated specialist to provide essential support within a K-12 school setting in Tacoma, WA. This contract position extends from ASAP until June 13, 2025, offering a unique chance to make a significant impact on students' well-being and learning.
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State Occupational Therapy License
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Location:
- Tacoma, WA
Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat students requiring occupational therapy services
- Develop individualized therapy plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to support students needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy services and student progress
- Provide consultation to staff regarding therapeutic techniques and strategies
- Conduct periodic re-evaluations to adjust therapy plans as needed
