Job Description
An exciting opportunity awaits for Occupational Therapists specializing in school settings. This contract position is based in Tacoma, WA, and focuses on providing therapeutic services to K-12 students across multiple locations, including Chehalis, Olympia, Long Beach, and Hoquiam. The role is designed for the upcoming school year, running from September 2, 2025, to June 12, 2026, with a schedule of 35 hours per week over four days.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with PreK-12 students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and best practices in pediatric therapy.
Location:
- Tacoma, WA, with services extending to Pacific, Mason, Thurston, and Grays Harbor Counties.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students' needs to develop appropriate therapy plans.
- Implement individualized treatment programs in alignment with IEP goals.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development.
- Monitor and document students progress and adjust therapy as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and advocate for student needs.
- Provide both direct therapy and consultation as required.
