Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits for Occupational Therapists specializing in school settings. This contract position is based in Tacoma, WA, and focuses on providing therapeutic services to K-12 students across multiple locations, including Chehalis, Olympia, Long Beach, and Hoquiam. The role is designed for the upcoming school year, running from September 2, 2025, to June 12, 2026, with a schedule of 35 hours per week over four days.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience working in school settings, particularly with PreK-12 students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and best practices in pediatric therapy.

Location:

• Tacoma, WA, with services extending to Pacific, Mason, Thurston, and Grays Harbor Counties.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate students' needs to develop appropriate therapy plans.
• Implement individualized treatment programs in alignment with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development.
• Monitor and document students progress and adjust therapy as needed.
• Participate in IEP meetings and advocate for student needs.
• Provide both direct therapy and consultation as required.
