An opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to provide essential occupational therapy services within a K-12 educational setting. This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year, focusing on supporting students with diverse needs through a tailored therapeutic approach.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong understanding of IEPs and special education processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Experience managing a caseload of 40-45 students is preferred
Location:
Topeka, KS
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve students abilities in daily activities
- Collaborate with special education teams to integrate therapy goals into the classroom
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student outcomes
- Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a holistic approach to student care
