Job Description
An opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to work in a dynamic educational environment. This role focuses on providing therapeutic services to students ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade, catering to a diverse caseload that includes both K-2nd and 6-12th grade levels.
Location: Tucson, AZ
Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat students with occupational therapy needs, developing individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational staff.
- Implement appropriate therapeutic activities to enhance students' motor skills, sensory processing abilities, and self-care skills.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as required, ensuring effective interventions are in place.
- Provide guidance to teachers and parents on supporting students occupational therapy goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy services and student outcomes as mandated by state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current Arizona Occupational Therapy License.
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Card.
- Experience working in school settings is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families.
