Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in California
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of K-12 education policies and procedures
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with IEPs and related documentation
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students needs and develop tailored therapy plans
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, enhancing their educational experience
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement strategies that support students goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate records of student progress
- Adapt therapeutic activities to ensure they meet diverse needs within the classroom
- Ensure compliance with all relevant state regulations and school policies regarding therapy services
