Job Description
Engage in a rewarding opportunity as an Occupational Therapist in an educational setting. This position focuses on providing essential support to students ranging from kindergarten to 8th grade, ensuring they receive the therapeutic services necessary for their development and learning.
Location: Warren, MI
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students' needs to develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic activities designed to enhance motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to ensure a comprehensive approach to student care.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student outcomes.
- Provide direct therapy to a caseload of approximately 30 students across up to 4 school sites.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working in a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-driven environment.
- Knowledge of IEPs and related documentation processes.
