A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide essential services in a K-12 school setting. This role focuses on supporting students in grades 9-12 during the extended school year, emphasizing their therapeutic needs and promoting their overall development.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or relevant field
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in home health, healthcare, teletherapy, and school settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Knowledge of therapeutic practices and relevant regulations
Location: Warwick, RI
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students' occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans tailored to each student
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support student goals
- Provide direct therapy services one day per week, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and outcomes
