An exciting opportunity is available for professionals specializing in occupational therapy within educational settings. This position is located in Warwick, RI, and focuses on providing therapeutic services to K-12 students.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in pediatric occupational therapy, preferably in school settings
- Strong knowledge of fine motor skills development and therapeutic techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
Location: Warwick, RI K-12 School Environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Implement therapy plans aimed at improving fine motor skills and overall functional abilities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation required by the school.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support student needs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide insights on student progress.
