In Wilmington, DE, an exciting opportunity has emerged for an licensed professional to support students in a K-12 educational setting for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time position involves working directly with Pre-K through 12th-grade students, including those with medically complex needs, ensuring that each child receives the therapeutic services required to thrive in their academic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students' occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support student goals.
- Provide direct therapy services in accordance with IEPs (Individualized Education Programs).
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to holistic care strategies.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in Connecticut.
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
