Job Description
Seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to support students in a K-12 educational setting for the upcoming extended school year. This role is focused on providing therapeutic services to high school students, facilitating their educational and developmental needs one day a week.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in home health, teletherapy, and school settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with K-12 education systems
Location:
- Wood River Junction, RI
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students in grades 9-12
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and develop customized therapy plans
- Deliver therapy sessions in line with best practices for school-based care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as required
