Job Description
An opportunity exists for an experienced professional to support students in a K-12 educational setting, focusing on providing targeted services in accordance with individual needs. This contract position is based in Youngsville, NC, and involves working two days a week, totaling 15 hours.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with support services and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to a caseload of 16 students, ensuring tailored support based on individual assessments
- Deliver direct services to 9 students, facilitating their needs 3-4 times a month
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and monitor IEPs
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to assess students progress and adjust therapy goals as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and student progress
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
