Occupational Therapist School Setting in Youngsville, NC

Job Description

An opportunity exists for an experienced professional to support students in a K-12 educational setting, focusing on providing targeted services in accordance with individual needs. This contract position is based in Youngsville, NC, and involves working two days a week, totaling 15 hours.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with support services and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to a caseload of 16 students, ensuring tailored support based on individual assessments
• Deliver direct services to 9 students, facilitating their needs 3-4 times a month
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and monitor IEPs
• Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to assess students progress and adjust therapy goals as necessary
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and student progress
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
