An opportunity is available for a dedicated paraprofessional to support students with learning disabilities in a K-12 educational setting. This role involves working closely with general education teachers to create an inclusive and conducive learning environment that fosters the development of essential life skills.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with special education students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching staff
- Patience and adaptability in diverse classroom settings
- Basic understanding of different learning disabilities and strategies to support them
Location:
Denver, CO
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in implementing instructional programs for students with learning disabilities
- Support students in developing life skills through practical activities
- Collaborate with educators to adapt learning materials and strategies to meet individual student needs
- Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing guidance and encouragement as needed
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

This is a contract position for the school year, with a schedule of Monday through Thursday, from 7:15 AM to 3:30 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break.
