Qualifications:
- Valid paraprofessional certification or equivalent
- Experience working with students with special needs, particularly in middle school settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to implement behavioral intervention plans effectively
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards student learning and development
- Basic understanding of different learning styles and adaptability to individual student needs
Location:
La Conner, WA
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs, facilitating their learning and social interactions
- Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of supervising educators
- Monitor and document students' progress and behavioral developments
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive learning environment
- Support students during transitions, including arriving and departing from school
- Engage in ongoing communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs
