Dynamic opportunity available for dedicated professionals specializing in educational support within a middle school environment. This position is designed for the summer session, focusing on providing tailored assistance to students with diverse needs.

Marysville, WA
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to two students, approximately 14 years of age, with varying disabilities including Down Syndrome and Autism.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and assist in the development of academic and social skills.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Monitor student progress and adapt strategies to meet their evolving needs.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding progress and challenges.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with special needs, particularly those with developmental disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Patience and flexibility to adapt to changing situations and student needs.
- Relevant certifications or training in special education or related fields is preferred.
