This contract position is based in an elementary school setting in Philadelphia, PA, focusing on one-on-one assistance for a 4th-grade student exhibiting mild to moderate behavioral challenges.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as a Paraprofessional or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
- Strong background in behavioral interventions and strategies
- Ability to work effectively with students requiring individualized support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to a 4th-grade student with behavioral needs
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) effectively
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a supportive learning environment
- Monitor and document student progress and responses to interventions
- Engage the student in positive social and academic interactions
- Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development as required.
This position offers a structured schedule with hours running Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM, and a half-day on Wednesdays. The contract will renew for the summer, providing continuity in support.
