In Riverside, CA, an opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to provide essential on-site physical therapy services in an educational setting. This role focuses on supporting students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, addressing their individual needs and fostering their development.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist in California
- Experience working with children, particularly in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Familiarity with IEPs and the special education process
- Commitment to working collaboratively with educational staff
Location:
- Riverside, CA
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to a diverse caseload of approximately 16 students.
- Conduct assessments to determine students' needs and develop tailored therapy plans.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to integrate therapeutic goals into the classroom.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with families regarding student development.
