Job Description
An opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to provide essential physical therapy services within a school setting. This role is designed for those passionate about supporting students with diverse needs, fostering their physical development and overall educational success.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Physical Therapist license
- School-based experience preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with educational staff and other healthcare professionals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with students ranging from age 5 to 22
- Proficient in using technology, including BOCES laptops
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive physical therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' physical goals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and other required school procedures
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students during therapy sessions
Location:
- Rochester, NY, with itinerant locations in surrounding areas, including Brighton, Pittsford, East Irondequoit, West Irondequoit, and Webster
