Job Description
Anacortes is seeking a dedicated and skilled in-person Physical Therapist (PT) to serve as a leave replacement for the remainder of the school year, concluding on June 13. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to a caseload of approximately 40 K-12 students.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to guide treatment plans and strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure cohesive support for each student.
- Attend and participate in before or after school meetings as required to discuss student progress and any relevant concerns.
- Remain updated on best practices and regulatory requirements pertaining to school-based therapy.
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington state ESA certification as a Physical Therapist.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and procedures.
- Proven experience working with students in a K-12 setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and staff.
- Ability to write clear and concise reports and documentation related to student progress.
