Job Description
A rewarding opportunity awaits for a skilled Physical Therapist to provide in-person services in a K-12 educational setting in Bellingham, WA. This role is essential for supporting students with diverse needs and fostering an environment conducive to their physical and academic development. The position begins as soon as possible and extends until the end of the school year on June 13.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students based on their specific needs.
- Provide direct physical therapy services to a caseload of approximately 40 students across grades K-12.
- Collaborate with school staff and special education teams to implement and monitor IEP goals.
- Participate in before and after school meetings as required to discuss student progress and any necessary adjustments to their plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions in accordance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- WA state ESA certification is required.
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes and goals is essential.
- Proven experience in a K-12 school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member.
