Job Description
An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled professional to provide vital therapy services in a dynamic K-12 educational setting. This contract position is located in the Webster, NY area, serving students ranging from age 5 to 22 across various schools, including elementary, middle, high, and private/parochial institutions.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Physical Therapist license
- Preferred experience in a school-based setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse student populations
- Familiarity with special education procedures and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive physical therapy services tailored to students' individual needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to develop and implement IEPs
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and progress
- Utilize a BOCES laptop for documentation and communication
- Participate in training for procedures and paperwork as required
- Engage in a 7.5-hour workday, typically from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, five days a week
