School-Based Physical Therapist - Webster, New York

Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled professional to provide vital therapy services in a dynamic K-12 educational setting. This contract position is located in the Webster, NY area, serving students ranging from age 5 to 22 across various schools, including elementary, middle, high, and private/parochial institutions.

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Physical Therapist license
• Preferred experience in a school-based setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse student populations
• Familiarity with special education procedures and documentation

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive physical therapy services tailored to students' individual needs
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to develop and implement IEPs
• Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and progress
• Utilize a BOCES laptop for documentation and communication
• Participate in training for procedures and paperwork as required
• Engage in a 7.5-hour workday, typically from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, five days a week
