A unique opportunity awaits for a Registered Behavior Technician to support a 7th-grade male student with Autism Spectrum Disorder in an alternative learning environment. This role focuses on providing tailored behavioral intervention and guidance, ensuring a positive and productive educational experience for the student.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Experience working with students with special needs, particularly those with ASD
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to implement behavior intervention plans effectively
- Previous experience in school settings, particularly K-12
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Location:
- Arlington, WA
Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one support to the student, addressing specific behavioral challenges
- Implement and follow through on individualized behavior intervention plans
- Collaborate with educational staff and parents to promote effective strategies
- Monitor and document the student's progress and behavioral responses
- Create a structured and safe learning environment to reduce elopement and other challenging behaviors
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as required
