Job Description
A dynamic opportunity exists for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support students in an engaging elementary school environment. This position involves working closely with a diverse caseload of six students across two schools, focusing on delivering high-quality behavioral support and instruction.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly those with special needs.
- Proficiency in Discrete Trial Training and Natural Environment Teaching.
- Strong organizational skills to prepare materials and collect data.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in team meetings.
Location:
- Ithaca, NY
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct behavioral instruction to students using evidence-based techniques.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) through structured programs.
- Support students during related service sessions, ensuring a comprehensive approach to their learning.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies for continued support.
- Prepare and organize instructional materials based on student needs.
