Job Description
A unique opportunity is available for a dedicated specialist to support students in an engaging elementary school environment. This full-time position involves working with children to promote positive behavioral practices and enhance their learning experiences through applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques. This full-time position is 6.5 hours a day, 5 days a week. The period of this contract April 28, 2025-June 27, 2025
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
- Patience and compassion for students with diverse needs
Location:
- New Rochelle, NY
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct support to students requiring behavioral assistance
- Collect and document data on student progress and behavior changes
- Collaborate with educational staff to create a supportive learning environment
- Attend team meetings and participate in staff training as required
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress
