Job Description
In an educational setting dedicated to fostering the well-being and learning of K-12 students, professionals will provide essential nursing support to medically fragile individuals. This role is critical in creating a safe and healthy environment conducive to education during the extended school year.
Qualifications:
- Valid LPN/LVN or RN license with school experience
- Proficient in pediatric nursing, particularly with medically fragile students
- Experienced with G-tubes, tracheostomies, and suctioning
- Ability to adapt to varying needs and float between classrooms
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Location:
- Saint Louis, MO
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one nursing care to students with specific medical needs
- Monitor and assess student health throughout the school day
- Collaborate with educators and other staff to support student well-being
- Administer medications and manage medical devices as required
- Participate in planning for students health and safety
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for all students
