A unique opportunity awaits for a California Certified School Nurse ready to make a significant impact in a K-12 educational environment. This full-time position spans the 2025-2026 school year, serving multiple school sites and fostering the health and well-being of students.
Location: Stockton, CA
Duration: Contract, July 22, 2025 - May 29, 2026
Schedule: Flexible hours available
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to students across 1-4 school sites.
- Assess and address the health needs of students, ensuring a safe and healthy school environment.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to promote health education and wellness programs.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation as required by school policies.
- Administer medications and monitor for any adverse reactions or side effects.
- Implement health plans and coordinate care for students with chronic health conditions.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student health concerns.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Certified School Nurse Credential (CSN) or preliminary credential with willingness to apply for full certification.
- RN with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse educational environment.
- Knowledge of health education principles and best practices in school nursing.
