An opportunity exists for a skilled professional specializing in school psychology within a dynamic K-12 educational environment. This position, based in Alexandria, VA, is designed for someone ready to make a meaningful impact on students' mental health and educational outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Active VA School Psychologist License
- Previous experience in school psychology
- Strong understanding of behavior intervention plans
- Ability to support social and emotional learning initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in an itinerant role is a plus
Location:
- Alexandria, VA
- Itinerant position across four school sites within two campuses, approximately two miles apart
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological assessments and interventions for students from Pre-K through 12th grade
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement behavior intervention plans
- Support students' mental health and social-emotional learning
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for staff on best practices in mental health
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation as required by the school
