Qualifications:
- Active Maryland School Psychologist license
- Experience working in K-12 educational environments, with a focus on elementary students
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Location: Bowie, MD
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students to determine needs and appropriate interventions
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents
- Provide counseling and support services to students, fostering emotional and psychological well-being
- Consult with school staff regarding behavioral issues and effective strategies for intervention
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development opportunities
- Address crisis situations and provide post-crisis support to students and staff
