Job Description
In a dynamic K-12 educational environment located in the Bronx, NY, we are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide vital support to students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. This full-time position operates from 8 AM to 4 PM, focusing on enhancing student well-being and academic success through assessment, intervention, and consultation.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral or Masters degree in School Psychology
- Valid state certification or licensure in School Psychology
- Experience working with K-12 students
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in crisis intervention and management
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for students.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop tailored interventions.
- Provide counseling and support services to students facing various challenges.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP discussions.
- Implement evidence-based practices to promote positive student outcomes.
- Conduct crisis interventions and provide follow-up support as needed.
- Engage in professional development and stay updated on best practices in school psychology.
