Job Description
A position is available for a dedicated professional specializing in the field of school psychology, located in Charleston, SC. This role is designed for the upcoming school year and involves providing essential psychological services within an elementary school setting on a part-time basis.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid school psychologist license or certification in the state.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children.
- Strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills.
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students.
- Provide consultation services to teachers and school staff regarding student needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators.
- Deliver short-term counseling and psychological interventions to students.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to case discussions.
- Provide training and support to staff on mental health and wellness topics.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation.
