Job Description
A professional staffing agency is seeking dedicated individuals specializing in School Psychology. This contract position is set in a vibrant K-12 educational environment located in Columbia, SC, where specialists will provide essential psychological services to students.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral or Masters degree in School Psychology
- Valid state licensure or certification in School Psychology
- Experience working with K-12 students
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, fostering emotional and psychological well-being
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement interventions and monitor student progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Offer crisis intervention and support to students and staff as needed
- Develop and deliver professional development workshops for educators and parents
