Job Description
A dedicated professional is sought for a part-time School Psychologist position in Country Club Hills, IL. This role is crucial in providing psychological services across K-12 settings, supporting students during the reevaluation process and ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met effectively.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychology endorsement
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in assessment and intervention
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
Location:
Country Club Hills, IL
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological assessments and evaluations for students, particularly those up for reevaluation
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to develop and implement appropriate interventions
- Support students placed out-of-district, ensuring continuity of care and services
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to student evaluations and services
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Offer consultations to staff and parents regarding student needs and support strategies
