A challenging opportunity is available for a skilled professional specializing in psychological services within an educational setting. This contract position is based in Dillwyn, VA, and involves working with K-12 students on a part-time basis, focusing heavily on evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral or Masters degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 populations, particularly in evaluation and assessment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and parents
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Ability to manage a heavy caseload and adhere to prescribed timelines
Location:
Dillwyn, VA
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on evaluation results
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student needs
- Provide consultation services regarding students' psychological and educational needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of evaluations and services provided
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a positive school environment
