Job Description
In an engaging educational environment, professionals will provide vital psychological services to students from Pre-K through 8th grade. This contract position spans the upcoming school year from August 13 to May 19, with a focus on fostering the well-being and academic success of children across two closely situated school locations in East Alton, IL.
Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois for School Psychologist
- Previous experience as a school psychologist, particularly in K-12 settings
- Strong skills in conducting evaluations and developing appropriate interventions
- Knowledge of RTI and PBIS systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Location:
- East Alton, IL (Two school locations, 0.5 miles apart)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations to assess student needs
- Provide support for IEP eligibility processes and develop Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to implement and support RTI and PBIS systems
- Deliver psychological services tailored to a diverse student population
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and evaluations
