School Psychologist - Elkton, MD

Job Description

This role is designed for dedicated professionals skilled in providing psychological support within an educational setting. This contract position is situated in Elkton, MD, focusing on a K-12 environment with a commitment to fostering the well-being and academic success. The current period for this contract runs August 25, 2025 - June 12, 2026, with 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in School Psychology or related field
• Valid school psychologist certification or license
• Experience working with K-12 students
• Strong assessment and counseling skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
• Knowledge of child development and educational psychology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Location:

• Elkton, MD

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students
• Provide counseling and support tailored to individual student needs
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement behavioral interventions
• Participate in Child Study Team meetings and contribute to IEP development
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions
• Deliver professional development workshops for staff as needed
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
