Seeking a dedicated professional with expertise in school psychology for a contract position in Fort Washington, MD. This full-time role involves providing essential psychological support and assessments for students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade, with a primary focus on elementary levels.
Qualifications:
- Valid Maryland state license in school psychology
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings, particularly with elementary students
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Knowledge of educational policies and mental health practices in schools
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students
- Provide recommendations for educational planning and support services
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement interventions
- Offer counseling and support to students and families
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development
- Ensure compliance with all state and school district regulations regarding psychological services
