Job Description

In a vibrant K-12 educational environment, there is an opportunity for a skilled professional to provide essential psychological support to students. This role focuses on addressing the diverse needs of approximately 500 students within a public charter school setting, primarily serving K-8 special education learners.

Qualifications:

• State-issued license as a School Psychologist
• Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
• Valid South Carolina education license
• Experience working in K-12 settings, particularly with special education students
• Strong assessment and intervention skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals

Location:

• Lexington, SC

Responsibilities:

• Provide psychological assessments and develop individual education plans (IEPs) for students
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement appropriate behavioral and academic interventions
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support students' emotional well-being
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to comprehensive student evaluations
• Offer consultation to families regarding their child's needs and progress
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and interventions
