Job Description
In a vibrant K-12 educational environment, there is an opportunity for a skilled professional to provide essential psychological support to students. This role focuses on addressing the diverse needs of approximately 500 students within a public charter school setting, primarily serving K-8 special education learners.
Qualifications:
- State-issued license as a School Psychologist
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Valid South Carolina education license
- Experience working in K-12 settings, particularly with special education students
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
Location:
- Lexington, SC
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological assessments and develop individual education plans (IEPs) for students
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement appropriate behavioral and academic interventions
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support students' emotional well-being
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to comprehensive student evaluations
- Offer consultation to families regarding their child's needs and progress
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and interventions

This position runs from the last week in July to the last week in May, requiring in-person availability at least 3.5 days per week.
