Job Description
An opportunity exists for a skilled professional specializing in providing psychological services within an educational setting. This role is designed for a dedicated individual who is passionate about supporting K-12 students, particularly those in the 7th to 12th grades, including transitional students aged 18 to 21. The position is part-time, requiring availability for 7-8 hours per week throughout the school year.
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist License or Certificate
- PELSB Certification
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in middle and high school settings
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and consultation
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological assessments and interventions for students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student needs
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student requirements
- Offer guidance and support for students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Conduct crisis interventions and provide support during emergencies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development opportunities
