An opportunity is available for a skilled professional in a K-12 educational setting focused on supporting the diverse needs of students. This full-time contract position is intended for the 2025-2026 school year and is specifically aimed at individuals with a passion for enhancing student well-being and academic success through psychological services.
Qualifications:
- Specialist degree in school psychology from a board-approved program
- Completion of supervised internships in a relevant setting
- Successful passage of required exams for licensure
- Minimum of two years of experience for Level III licensure
- Strong understanding of middle school age students' psychological needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Location:
- Newberry, South Carolina
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions for students, primarily within a middle school caseload
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Offer crisis intervention and support for students and staff
- Conduct training and workshops for school personnel on mental health awareness and best practices
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a holistic approach to student care
