An opportunity is available for a skilled professional in a K-12 educational setting focused on supporting the diverse needs of students. This full-time contract position is intended for the 2025-2026 school year and is specifically aimed at individuals with a passion for enhancing student well-being and academic success through psychological services.

Qualifications:

  • Specialist degree in school psychology from a board-approved program
  • Completion of supervised internships in a relevant setting
  • Successful passage of required exams for licensure
  • Minimum of two years of experience for Level III licensure
  • Strong understanding of middle school age students' psychological needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Location:

  • Newberry, South Carolina

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions for students, primarily within a middle school caseload
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Offer crisis intervention and support for students and staff
  • Conduct training and workshops for school personnel on mental health awareness and best practices
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and interventions
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a holistic approach to student care
