Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia license as a School Psychologist
- One year of experience in a school setting preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to working collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals
Location:
- Newport News, VA
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students
- Provide consultation to educators and school staff regarding student needs
- Develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student well-being
- Engage in crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
