Job Description
Engage with students in a supportive K-12 educational environment, focusing on the psychological and emotional well-being of 7th to 12th-grade students, including transition age individuals up to 21. This contract position offers the opportunity to work part-time, serving approximately 7-8 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification
- PELSB certification required
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in middle and high school settings
- Strong understanding of student mental health and developmental needs
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with transition programs is a plus
Location:
- Saint Paul, MN
Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide psychological services to students, addressing their educational and emotional needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teaching staff
- Conduct observations and evaluations to identify students' psychological and academic challenges
- Provide consultation to educators and staff regarding best practices for student support
- Facilitate crisis intervention and provide support during challenging situations
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure continuity of care and support outside of school
