Job Description
A K-12 educational institution in South Portland, ME is seeking a dedicated professional to conduct psychological evaluations for students. This contract position involves working with a diverse student population to assess and address their educational and psychological needs.
Qualifications:
- Specialist in School Psychology with relevant certification or licensure
- Experience conducting evaluations and writing IEP reports
- Strong understanding of K-12 education systems and special education processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Proven track record of managing multiple evaluations simultaneously
Responsibilities:
- Complete 3-5 psychological evaluations for students as required
- Write and prepare Individualized Education Program (IEP) reports based on evaluation findings
- Attend and present at first IEP meetings to share assessment results and recommendations
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other specialists to support student needs
- Maintain organized documentation of evaluations and IEP progress
