Job Description
A dynamic educational environment in Stamford, CT, is seeking dedicated professionals to support students' psychological and educational needs. This role is focused on providing essential services within K-12 settings, specifically tailored to various age groups, including K-8 students.
Qualifications:
- Masters or doctoral degree in school psychology or related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a school psychologist.
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings, particularly with K-8 students.
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills, with a focus on re-evaluations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of special education laws and procedures.
Location: Stamford, CT
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for approximately 60 students.
- Collaborate with the Re-Eval Team to provide comprehensive re-evaluation services.
- Work closely with the birth to age 3 transition team, supporting families and students.
- Provide consultation and support for community students referred to special education.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teaching staff.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
