Position: School Psychologist
Location: Sterling, VA
Hourly Wage: Competitive, Based on Experience

Position Overview:

  • Hours: Full-time, 30-40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 3 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess Students: Conduct psychological evaluations to identify learning, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
  • Provide Counseling: Offer individual and group counseling to students to support mental health, social-emotional skills, and academic achievement.
  • Consult with Staff: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop strategies for managing student behaviors and ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Develop Intervention Plans: Create and implement interventions and accommodations for students with special needs, in collaboration with school teams.
  • Crisis Management: Provide immediate support in crisis situations, offering strategies to de-escalate and address student needs.
  • Promote Mental Health Awareness: Encourage school-wide initiatives focused on mental well-being and social-emotional development.
