Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid School Psychologist certification or license
- Experience working in K-12 settings, particularly with students aged 3-5
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Knowledge of special education processes and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Location:
Waterbury, CT
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and re-evaluations for students, ensuring timely and accurate assessments (approximately 60 evaluations)
- Collaborate with the transition team to support students from birth to age 3, facilitating smooth transitions into school
- Provide consultation to teachers and staff regarding individual student needs and interventions
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students referred to special education services
- Support community students aged 3-5 by addressing their psychological and educational needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment
