Job Description

In a vibrant educational environment in Indiantown, FL, specialists will provide essential communication support as a SLI. This role is focused on facilitating effective interactions for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring an inclusive learning experience in a K-12 setting.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly with K-12 students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with both onsite and virtual interpreters
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and other relevant communication methods

Responsibilities:

• Deliver interpretation services for two students, aged 5 and 14, across various classroom settings
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to enhance students' learning and communication
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of communication goals
• Maintain professional standards and stay updated on best practices in interpretation
• Provide clarity and support during instructional activities, ensuring students' needs are met
