Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Sign Language Interpreter License
- Relevant certification (e.g., RID, NIC)
- Experience interpreting in K-12 settings
- Strong knowledge of educational policies and practices related to deaf and hard of hearing students
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, students, and staff
Location:
- Lawrenceville, GA (K-12 School Environment)
Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services for deaf or hard of hearing students in classroom settings
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure effective communication
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings and other required school functions
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with students and staff
- Keep up-to-date with best practices in sign language interpreting and educational support
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state regulations and school policies
