Job Description

In a supportive K-12 educational environment located in Lorida, FL, professionals are sought to provide critical communication support as a Sign Language Interpreter. Qualifications:

• Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter in Florida
• Experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly with K-12 students
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
• Proficient in both American Sign Language (ASL) and English
• Previous experience supporting students with varying needs, including those with different age groups

Location:

• Lorida, FL (Onsite at a K-12 school)

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services for two students, ages 5 and 14, facilitating their communication in the classroom
• Collaborate with both onsite and virtual interpreters to ensure comprehensive support
• Participate in IEP meetings and other relevant discussions to tailor services to student needs
• Maintain professional standards and stay updated on best practices in interpretation
• Document and report on interpretation sessions as required
