An opportunity has arisen for a skilled professional to provide essential speech-language pathology services in an engaging K-12 school environment. This full-time, on-site position is aimed at supporting students during the extended school year, ensuring that each individual receives the communication support they need to thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications:
- CCC-SLP certification
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with K-12 students preferred
- Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Location:
- Alachua, FL
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student
- Provide direct therapy services in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate speech and language development into the classroom
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy techniques as necessary
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
