An opportunity exists for a skilled SLP to provide essential support within a K-12 educational setting in Albuquerque, NM. This role focuses on delivering high-quality communication services to students, fostering their educational development and social interaction.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in SLP or related field
- Valid state licensure as a SLP
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong assessment and therapeutic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other specialists
Location:
- Albuquerque, NM
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy to students requiring speech and language support
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students' overall communication goals
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with parents and guardians
