Job Description
An opportunity exists for skilled SLPs to support students in a dynamic K-12 educational setting in Augusta, ME. This position aims to address the diverse communication needs of students, ensuring that each individual receives the guidance and support required for their success.
Qualifications:
- Certification (SLP-CCC).
- Experience in school-based settings, particularly with K-12 students.
- Familiarity with various speech and language disorders.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff and families.
- Experience or comfort working with CFY's and SLPA's.
Location:
- Augusta, ME
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of students speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support student goals.
- Deliver direct therapy services to students across varying grade levels, focusing on their unique needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote effective communication strategies in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and treatment outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development opportunities.
